Introduction

Dose is a modern Discord bot built for server moderation, utility, and community management. This documentation will help you get started with inviting, configuring, and using Dose in your server.

New to Dose? Start with the section to add Dose to your server in seconds.

Invite Dose

Adding Dose to your server takes just one click. You need the Manage Server permission to invite bots.

Click the button below or copy the invite link.
Select the server you want to add Dose to.
Review the requested permissions and authorize.
Dose will join your server and be ready to use.

After inviting Dose, a few things are good to know:

Slash Commands

Dose uses Discord slash commands. Type / in any channel to see available commands.

Permissions

Dose requires certain permissions to function properly. Make sure it has access to the channels you want it to work in.

Moderation

Issue a warning to a user. Warnings are tracked per server.

Permissions

Dose requires specific permissions to function correctly. When inviting the bot, the following permissions are recommended:

Manage Messages — for moderation commands like warn and kick

Kick Members — to remove members from the server

Ban Members — to permanently ban members

Send Messages — to respond to commands

Embed Links — to display rich embeds

Read Message History — for context in moderation actions

Prefix & Slash Commands

Dose supports both slash commands and traditional prefix commands. Slash commands are recommended for the best experience, as they provide autocomplete and parameter hints.

Tip: Type / in any channel to see Dose's slash commands, or use d!help for the prefix version.

FAQ

Is Dose free to use?

Yes, Dose is completely free to invite and use in your Discord server.

What permissions does Dose need?

Dose requires Manage Messages, Kick Members, Ban Members, Send Messages, Embed Links, and Read Message History. You can review the full permissions list in the Permissions section.

Can I use Dose in multiple servers?

Absolutely. Dose can be added to as many servers as you'd like, and each server's settings and data are kept separate.

How do I report a bug?

Does Dose store any of my data?

Dose stores minimal data required for functionality, such as user IDs for warning tracking. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Troubleshooting

Dose isn't responding to commands

Make sure Dose has the necessary permissions in the channel you're using it in. Check that the bot is online and that slash commands are synced in your server settings.

Slash commands not showing up

Slash commands can take a few minutes to sync. If they still don't appear, try kicking and re-inviting the bot, or refresh the Discord app.
